About the Claris User Group Administration Database
The Claris User Group database has been created for use by both Windows and Macintosh users in mind. This FileMaker Pro-based database serves as a front-line resource to support your user group by collecting contact information, subscription dates and amounts, hardware and software used, and a host of other material valuable for managing your user group.
On the Main menu you will find a Help button which will give you an overview of all the following features:
NAVIGATION CONTROLS will describe how to maneuver back and forth between member records.
THE MAIN menu will help you view information about your membership base such as expired members, adding a new member, finding a member, and viewing the total membership list.
THE MAILINGS menu is designed to print letters to promote your user group events, print mailing labels, do a custom mailing, and print welcome and renewal letters.
THE REPORTS menu takes member information and produces reports such as renewal percentage, user level demographics, professional and industry demographics, membership statistics YTD and much more.
THE UTILITIES menu will give you seven ways to keep your database current including, deleting blank records, searching for duplicate members, modifying an event or sending a welcome letter, just to name a few.
IMPORT/EXPORT allows you to import member information in a text format from another database and export some or all of the information you store in this database. A variety of formats are supported. See under FILE menu under Export.
PRINTING buttons will perform a script which provides a one-step way to print both letters and mailing labels at the same.
FINDING INFO is designed to quickly find member information with a such as user level, membership dues, expiration date etc.
